Hair Extentions
1) How long do they last?
Bonding depends on maintenance as you cannot wash your hair, but weaving depends on hair growth, hair can be washed normally which can last up to a month but can be left in longer.
2) Do they damage my hair?
No the hair is braided/plaited when weaving. The Bonding glue is very light on the hair and can be removed easily using the bonding glue remover.
3) How long does my hair have to be?
If the hair is very short like a cropped style cut you would have to have bonding, for weaving the hair needs to be long enough to cornrow so roughly 5 inches long.
4) What Length extensions can I have?
There are many different lengths that the human hair extensions come in such as 6” 8” 10” 12” 14” 16” 18” 20” 22” +
5) Do I need to have a consultation before hand?
Yes a consultation is required just so we can examine the hair fully and decide which method type and colour of extensions you will require.
6) Do they hurt?
When weaving, your natural hair is braided along your scalp in tiny horizontal cornrows. Next, the hair you have chosen is sewn onto the braids with heavy weaving thread and your own hair is combed over the extensions so that they blend in.
7) How can I remove them?
The bonding glue wears away slowly after about 2 weeks on average and bonding glue remover can be used to help soften the glue, thread from the weaved extensions needs to be cut off which loosens the extensions from the head. It is easier to book an appointment to have them removed or get a friend to help so that you avoid cutting your hair.
Can I wash, straighten, curl my extensions?
Yes you can with 100% human hair extensions but please be gentle.
9) Do I need to use special products on my hair extensions?
It is not necessary but a light serum can help to detangle and a light hairspray can give hold, but it is recommended not to use too much product to avoid build up on the hair.
